History

There is a committee of 10 volunteers.  The first parade was held in Leeds City Centre in March 1999.  There has been an annual event ever since celebrating Irish music, dance, sports and culture.

The committee meets regularly at the Irish Centre.  The parade is reliant on funding from the Irish Community in Leeds.  In particular there is annual dinner dance which is used to generate funds for the event.  In recent years a grant from Leeds City Council has enabled the committee to be more ambitious in the format of the parade.  

New volunteers are always welcome.
