party, birthday party, a dinner dance, team activity day or theatrical
performances, we will work with you to make the event really memorable. We can
support you with a wealth of experience and the best of facilities.
We can offer you a choice of three self-contained reception suites
- all with private bar areas - accommodating from 120
to 800 guests in spacious, stylish surroundings. A variety of
table arrangements enable you to customise your seating plan and all the suites
have a specially laid dance floor so you can continue the celebrations through
the evening.
The Tara Ballroom is licensed for 800 patrons and has hosted concerts
with artists from all over the world, corporate dinner dances and sporting
events are held regularly throughout the year.
The Ballroom has its own entrance on York Road. This room was
refurbished during 2002, ensuring that it achieved a modern, relaxed and
tasteful feel to this split level concert room. The lower seating area is
carpeted and this surrounds the central dance floor. It also offers three large
bars and an accousticly designed stage. Whatever
the configuration, it remains self contained.
It has a light airy feel by day – and a glamorous touch by night.
This room can easily cater for up to 300 people sitting and the seating
arrangements can be chosen from round or oblong tables.
Its own kitchens prepare a wide choice of menus.
The catering is professional and imaginative with a wide choice of
delicious food and fine wines.
The Tara Ballroom also has the flexibility to be separated into the
Claddagh Room and Avoca Lounge if required.
The Claddagh Room is the biggest of our Reception Suites and can
accommodate 150 – 350 guests in comfort. Serviced by two bars and a dance
floor this suite is ideal for the larger receptions. The Suite boasts various
lighting effects to enhance each and every function. Disabled facilities are
incorporated in this Suite.
The Avoca Lounge is the second of our Reception Suite and can cater
for 100- 150 Guests. Serviced by its own bar and dance floor this Suite also has
its own lighting effects incorporated and has disabled facilities.
The O’Meara Lounge has recently being refurbished. It has achieved a
more intimate setting which provides an adaptable space.
This room offers a stage, dancefloor and room for up to 150 guests.
The alcove area in this room will appeal for catching up with friends or
family, away from the main gathering. The
facilities include the latest up to date lighting and smoke effects. Access is
suitable for disabled patrons.
The Davitt Bar is a member only bar providing entertainment
throughout the week with live music at weekends. It also boasts 2 large overhead
screen projector TV’s as well as 3 large screen TV’s which covers all GAA sports and comprehensive coverage of all
Sky Sports.
FUNCTIONS FOR ALL OCCASIONS
The Leeds Irish Centre is the premier Irish Centre in Britain. It prides
itself in working alongside a vast array of Irish cultural groups including The
Leeds Branch of Comhaltas, The GAA, and Irish Dancing classes. We also have
Music Sessions, Ceili’s and performances from Irish bands throughout the year.
We have many Sports events including GAA, Boxing Tournaments and Golfing events
to name a few. The newly established Tuesday Club which hold activities for the
over 55 each Tuesday from mid day to 4 pm is also one of our highlights.
Banquets, weddings, large private events and corporate functions as well
as smaller meetings and events have taken place here - with great results.

for nothing from the bar, and that your food is brought to to your table with
punctuality. We are not tied to the rules and regulations of large hotels and
conference centres, and are determined to offer a personal service that is
difficult to beat. Each of our Function
Suites has dedicated kitchens so will not find us trying to run a number
of functions from one main kitchen. We
are happy to discuss any special arrangements that you may wish to make. We can
accommodate special dietary requirements, organise a toast master, or source

Music play’s such an important part in your wedding reception, don’t
risk it to a DJ or band who is yet to turn of age, or who only plays one style
of music, uses equipment which should be left at home or simply hasn’t
experienced a wedding themselves.
We understand that the music needs to
complement your reception, it needs to reflect your wants and desires,
personality and of course the commitment you have made earlier on the day. We
can provide a list of reputable DJs and bands that have worked with us before,
ones you can trust.
We will consult and work with the DJ or band to ensure that everything
is scheduled appropriately so that your reception runs as planned.
